Here is what the seller has to say...

What I love most about Canal Winchester are the people. Everyone is very friendly, unpretentious, and they want to get to know you in a very friendly, small-town neighborly way. Canal Winchester is a great place with a smaller town feel, but with all of the amenities of surrounding Columbus close by. There are lots of things to do either in or around town, or you can head into Columbus, Easton or other areas around two with just a short drive.

Our neighborhood is great for growing families and singles/couple alike. Every year there is an annual garage sale, and many nights throughout spring, summer and fall, neighbors get together for porch parties and fire pit fun. Fourth of July is also a great time as folks gather together and light off fireworks. Also in the winter, you'll see many snowmen all over the neighborhood as different families spend time enjoying the winter wonderland.

We love to eat at many of the restaurants around Canal Winchester. We love to eat or grab a coffee at Harvest Moon, or grab one of an amazing variety of crepes at C'est Si Bon Cafe.  When we want a date night, we head to Village Wine and Bistro, or if we're going out with friends we head to the infamous Kingys Pizza Pub. There are also plenty of popular options extremely close like O'Charleys, Chipotle, Old Bag of Nails, and many others.

There are plenty options to choose when it comes to groceries, such as Kroger, Meijer, Giant Eagle and WalMart, all within a short drive. The Meijer is great and full of friendly faces and offer great prices and variety.

When we bought our house, we were drawn to the community that surrounded it. The neighborhood is a great, well-established neighborhood with lots of homeowners from when the subdivision started in 1996-7. We also loved the open floor plan of the house and the opportunity to have a welcoming kitchen and living area to entertain friends and family. The first floor owner’s suite and all of the new upgrades have also made the home very enjoyable!

Canal Winchester is a great town to either raise a family or enjoy the earlier years of a professional life. Taxes are inexpensive, yet the amenities, schools, and other surrounding benefits are resembling more expensive areas in Central Ohio. The small town feel in Canal Winchester is a great place for having an enjoyable life with many things to do throughout the year like an annual Christmas Festival, many events in town throughout the year, Labor Day Parade, weekly Farmers Market and many others.

Canal Winchester schools are great, offering smaller class sizes, great teachers, and great facilities. We should know - one of us is a Canal Winchester alum!!!

Our utility costs are much cheaper than we initially thought they would be. Our gas is provided by Columbia Gas and is usually around $75/month in the winter months and much cheaper in summer. South Central Power provides our electric, and is also about $75/month in the summer months when A/C is also running. Water is provided by the City of Columbus and is about $35/month paid quarterly. The best part? Garbage Collection is included in our property taxes we pay so we don't pay anything additional and they provide a garbage can!!!
